A mineral plaster primer that is designed to control many high suction backgrounds whilst still remaining vapour open and breathable. Solo Primer can also be used to consolidate problematic surfaces and substrates.

Sometimes boards or old lime plasters are too smooth or too "thirsty" to achieve a good finish when skimming with lime plaster. Solo Primer helps control the high levels of suction and provides a gritty key for the plaster to stick to, but unlike PVA it is as breathable and durable as lime and won't form a plastic film, sealing in damp. Once primed you can skim over the primer using Solo lime Plaster.

Solo Primer is the only plaster primer on the market to be independently tested by audited facilities Sheffield Hallam University and PRA coatings for vapour diffusion to reassure you that water vapour is not trapped in the fabric of your building. No VOC, no odour, water-based and certified as vapour permeable.  Our natural mineral and water-glass primer is free from any other co-binders such as solvents, gypsum and cement.
